South Milton Village

Women's Institute

We had a lovely morning on 14th December; mostly making Christmas wreaths and cracker-making was also on offer.  Thanks to the 'tutors' - Lorna, Penny and Ann.  The Christmas party on 19th also went with a bang!

A huge thank you to Ann who designed and produced our ‘new look’ programme for 2020.

Our first get together of the year will be on Thursday 16th January when we will discuss the resolutions, enjoy a slice of birthday cake (we are 86!) and a Beetle Drive.  Subs are due now so come prepared!

On 20th February, Kath Ellis from Shute Lane, who writes as Kathy Shuker, will be talking to us about ‘Journey into the Unknown (Writing a Novel)’.  She is currently working on her fifth book and, if you haven’t yet read any of her books yet, I can thoroughly recommend them.

On 19th March, Chris Groves the Head Gardener at Overbeck’s will give us an illustrated talk on ‘Patagonia – Violas and Volcanoes’ which you won’t want to miss.

Thank you to everyone who supports us and we look forward to seeing lots of you at any or all of the above.
