Flood Plan

SMPC has recently drafted its Flood Mitigation Plan. This involves a plan, given current resources, to alleviate the effects of intense rain periods which have been experienced in 2012 & 2013. A new gulley has been installed, with the kind permission of Olof & Gill White, in the wall at Broadhurst and a haunched open gulley opposite Old Thatch - it is hoped that these measures will successfully drain surplus water from outside The Old School House. In addition, it is hoped that a long-term solution will be found to prevent the debris running off Greenaway which tends to block the existing drains at times of heavy rain.

Emergency Plan

Cllr Lewis has prepared the attached Plan which was approved by SMPC on 22 July 2013 and updated in July 2017

Cemetery

The South Milton Cemetery is administered by The Parish Council on behalf of residents and the charges per the attached sheet (link below) apply. Where a person who is not resident in the Parish wishes to be buried in the Cemetery (ie doesn't pay Council Tax in respect of the Parish) the charges are doubled. For comments about the Cemtery please contact Cllr Marion Brice.
