When the thaw came
Water poured through the roof of the medieval All Saints' Church in the village when a thaw set in after the heavy snowfall at the beginning of the month.
Fortunately, the organ had been covered by a polythene sheet, but there was water throughout the vestry, where the organ is situated, and at various places around the altar and in the nave.
It took a team led by new churchwarden Peter Rixon to mop up and put the curtains, mats and pew covers out to dry.
