|Business Directory||Weather & Tides|
South Milton WI meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. We are affiliated to the Devon Federation of Women’s Institutes and are able to take advantage of any events organised by them, as well as the items organised by our own group. Added to our monthly meetings are outings, and community events.
We also have two book groups and opportunities for members to meet women from other branches in our area for craft workshops.
We are always happy to welcome new members and we would be pleased to meet you if you would like to come along to a meeting to see if it’s right for you. Holiday visitors are also welcome.
We had a very successful meeting of our Sea Coast Group (Salcombe, South Milton, Thurlestone and West Alvington) with a fascinating talk from Sharon Annis who is a professional make up and hair artist for TV and film. Our competition was to decorate a mask in a theatrical manner and two South Milton ladies carried off first and second prizes! Congratulations to Penny and Lynn.
Our next meeting will be on 15th June when Marilyn Bishop comes to talk about 'Beryl Cooke: The People's Artist'. This will be open to anyone and the talk starts at 7.30 p.m. Non-members will be charged £2.
